This was purchased by us at an estate sale of an old woman who lived alone forever they say, she was a local who was a healer of some sort, some called her a Witch because of her odd healing ways. They say she only drank homemade teas & healed herself & others who asked with herbal remedies with positive results.

They say she never visited a doctor in her life, they tell stories of how old timers trusted her every word about when to plant vegetables & crops. They say she worked by the light of the moon & stayed inside in the sunlight. Some say she was odd because of a spell they say she put on a high school sweetheart that went bad & he committed suicide & she never forgave herself or never married.
They say her daddy was an undertaker & her momma was just plain crazy, Anna was their only living child, her twin died at birth.

You know people in small communities can create a world of folklore about a Eccentric Person but one thing I can tell you for sure is that she was without a doubt a TRUE WITCH in my opinion.

I never did find a Book of Shadows but I did find many small black books with penciled in "prayers" & dated when she made remedies for this one or that one.
